Study to Work – VET qualification for Warakirri College students

Warakirri College | November 8, 2015

Warakirri College’s Higher School Certificate Business Services’ students are part way through their 70 hour work placement, a prerequisite and requirement for VET which is being coordinated by SEE sites Cabramatta, Fairfield and Parramatta this week. The students have been assisting the sites with a range of front line administrative tasks including one on one help for their SEE students.
In Cabramatta, Business Services student Christopher Khut is helping SEE students with adapting to online challenges including new ways of meeting their obligations under Centrelink.  Receptionist and Administration Officer, Phuy Vong has said “Christopher is punctual, hard-working and willing to learn new tasks.  He is always asking for more work.  His enthusiasm is infectious”.
Christopher graduates from Warakirri College this year and is overjoyed at the prospect of being offered voluntary work at SEE Cabramatta, seeing this as a first step and valuable opportunity to commence his career in the Business Services industry.
