Transition to Work

Overview

Transition to Work is a new service to support young people aged 15-21 on their journey to employment. The service provides intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work-readiness of young people and help them into work (including apprenticeships and traineeships) or education.

The Transition to Work service has a strong focus on practical intervention and work experience to build a young person’s skills, confidence and readiness to engage in employment.
MTC Australia will be delivering Transition to Work in Parramatta, Merrylands and Auburn.

Young people will receive intensive, pre-employment support to improve their work readiness and to help them into work or education including apprenticeships or traineeships.

Employers will receive help from MTC Australia to recruit young employees who meet their business needs.

MTC Australia has experience working with disengaged and disadvantaged young people, and has strong links with employers, community services and schools within our local community. Transition to Work operates as a separate service from jobactive, Disability Employment Services and the Community Development Programme.
