All in for inclusivity

MARRICKVILLE, 8 NOVEMBER 2023: MTC Australia is proud to have been named an Inclusive Employer 2023-24 by the nation’s independent peak body for workplace diversity, Diversity Council Australia.

This award is one of a kind in Australia, signifying MTC’s dedication to fostering inclusion across a wide spectrum of diversity areas. To be eligible for the Inclusive Employer title, organisations are required to demonstrate a deep commitment to inclusion by surpassing the National Index Benchmark in at least five of the following six crucial measures: Awareness, Engagement, Inclusive Organisational Climate, Inclusive Leadership, Inclusive Team, and Exclusion. We are immensely proud to announce that MTC Australia has not only met but exceeded these benchmarks across all measures.

“MTC Australia is incredibly proud to be recognised as an Inclusive Employer 2023-24 by Diversity Council Australia. This achievement underscores our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that mirrors the diversity of the customers we serve. Looking ahead, we are excited to collaborate with our team to set more ambitious targets and action plans, propelling our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion journey to the next level,” MTC Australia Rob Marshall said.

Diversity Council Australia releases an Inclusive Employer Index each year which enables organisations to assess and monitor the state of diversity and inclusion in their workforce. Through late September 2023, MTC Australia employees were invited to complete the Inclusive Employer Index to share their thoughts about diversity and inclusion at MTC. Our results recognise our active commitment to creating and maintaining a workplace that fosters diversity and inclusion across all levels. Inclusive workplaces occur when a diversity of people are respected, connected, progressing and contributing to organisational success.

The results will help MTC and other organisations better understand and celebrate diversity and inclusion.
