Showcasing MTC’s Workforce Australia Services
BRISBANE, 29 SEPTEMBER 2022: The MTC Australia team at our new site in Fortitude Valley, Queensland, hosted guests from the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, including Ms Kylie Crane, First Assistant Secretary, Evidence and Assurance Division, Mr Adrian Davies, Director, Delivery and Employer Engagement, Employment South Queensland and Mr Richard Hooper, Provider Lead, Delivery and Employer Engagement, Employment South Queensland, who visited the site so we could demonstrate our success in setting up and delivering the Workforce Australia service in the new region.
During their visit, representatives from MTC Australia, including Acting CEO Rob Marshall, Regional Manager Karin Jauncey, Area Manager Jessica Boulton, and Recruitment Coach Sam Maradani, discussed our approach to customer engagement and personalised case management and the support strategies that we have in place to ensure we are helping our customers to create a life of their choosing.
We had a very productive discussion about the new Workforce Australia system and how we use it to ensure it benefits our customers. We showed Mr Davies, Ms Crane, and Mr Hooper the methods we use to get to know our customers and understand their goals, and demonstrated that the new system, combined with that understanding, allows us to help our customers overcome the challenges they face and give them greater control over their employment pathway.
Our Allied Health service plays a large part in the support that we offer our customers to help them find work, especially at our Fortitude Valley site, where many of our customers are working to overcome barriers such as homelessness, substance abuse, and poor mental health. Mr Davies, Ms Crane, and Mr Hooper were impressed by the level of support we offer and our knowledge of and access to external support systems that can provide additional help to our customers where necessary.
We also highlighted that a key part of our success is that customer service is at the heart of everything we do. We ensure that we are building lasting relationships and connecting with people on a personal level, whether they are our customers, employers, or stakeholders. Our Recruitment Coaches have also come to us with extensive industry experience and an incredible, pre-existing network of employers, which helps our customers find employment sooner.
We’re very pleased with how the visit went and feel that we benefited from the discussions we had with Mr Davies, Ms Crane, and Mr Hooper. We look forward to working with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations in the future and helping even more people in our community to find their pathway to employment.
