What is Workforce Australia?

Workforce Australia is an Australian Government program designed to help people find work. MTC Australia is a Workforce Australia Services provider, with you every step of the way on your journey to find and keep meaningful employment.

How does it work?

When you join MTC’s Workforce Australia program you’ll work one-on-one with a Coach who will help you identify your strengths and get you ready for work. We refer you for opportunities and help you find a job where you can grow and succeed.

Workforce Australia Services gives you extra support when you need it to get ready for and look for work. MTC Australia provides this service.

How to apply?

Once you are a registered job seeker, Centrelink will refer you to a registered job provider. You can ask to be referred to your local MTC site at this time.

If you are already a registered job seeker and would like to transfer to MTC Australia, you can ask your current employment services provider to refer you to us. If you need any advice or assistance on the process, please contact our Customer Care team on 1300 232 663.

If you have been made redundant, there are special provisions for your situation. You can find out more about your next steps if you lose your job here. If you are not on income support but would like to access the programs and assistance that we offer, please contact us.

Helping you get back on track

When you come to MTC Australia for support, our first step will always be to listen. Our Coaches will spend time with you to understand your life right now, to identify any barriers you’re facing and work together on a plan to help you.

Some of the ways we may be able to assist are with a referral to our Psychologists, help with travel, new work clothes and other return-to-work expenses, and guidance on courses that could open up your job options. Another important part of getting you ready for the future is our coaching to help you with key workplace skills.

These are just some of the ways we’ll see you and support you as you get your future on track.
