Good News Story

Kallum’s Story

Discover Kallum’s success story with MTC Australia’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work program. Learn how tailored support and unique training helped him secure his desired job.

When Kallum first arrived at MTC Australia’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work TKO program, he needed assistance to create a tailored resume and cover letter. Despite having a good foundational knowledge of job searching, Kallum sought additional guidance to craft a standout resume.

Through guidance from Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) Coach Daniel and the Populi Solutions team, Kallum was empowered to set goals and build his confidence, significantly improving his interview skills and overall work readiness. He also discovered great value in the boxing and cognitive behaviour aspects of the SQW TKO program.

With newfound confidence, Kallum proactively reached out to an employer, securing an interview the next day. Well-prepared, he succeeded in landing a job in administration just before Christmas, achieving his goal along his targeted employment pathway.

Speaking on his positive experience, Kallum shared:

“I thought the SQW program was good, and I thought most of the information was good. Dan made it interesting and had good energy. He was genuinely interested in us and what we had to say and was very easy to talk to.”
