Linanjuan’s story
Linanjuan migrated to Australia without strong English language skills and due to the language barrier, she was unemployed for a long time. When she realised that improving her English skills would enable her to find a job, she eagerly joined MTC Australia’s Skills for Education and Employment Program.
Once she started the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program, Lianjuan quickly proved herself to be an extremely responsible and diligent student. Despite the challenges of participating in the SEE Program during lockdowns, she showed an enormous amount of enthusiasm for studying English and completed all of her homework on time, taking particular interest in the employment related context of the homework.
During her classes, Lianjuan was very dedicated to taking notes and used a digital translator to assist her with her comprehension. Her work booklets were filled with annotations and translations to help her improve her skills even faster. She even asked for additional copies to study and strengthen her skills!
It’s no surprise that after just one year of studying in the SEE program, Lianjuan made such rapid progress with her English skills that she secured a job at R & J Timber Floor. She is now working full-time as a shop assistant and is using her new English communication skills every day.
We’re so happy for Lianjuan’s success, and we are confident that she going to have an excellent career ahead of her.
