What is the Skills for Education & Employment (SEE) program?
MTC Australia’s Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program helps you build confidence and improve your English language, literacy, and numeracy skills. This program is perfect for those who want to improve their employment opportunities or continue their studies.
Designed for people from diverse cultural and language backgrounds, the SEE program is customised to match your abilities and goals. We focus on creating a supportive community, so you feel comfortable and safe while learning.
The SEE Program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and offers flexible training in:
- Reading, writing, and speaking English
- Numeracy skills
- Computer skills
The SEE program builds the basic blocks of English language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills, providing a strong foundation for further education and employment opportunities.
Am I eligible for Skills for Education & Employment?
To be eligible for the SEE Program, an individual must be:
aged over 15 years and have left school, and
either be an Australian citizen, or a permanent visa holder, or on a provisional or temporary visa with working rights and eligible for the Adult Migrant English Program, or a Pacific Australian Labour Mobility visa holder, and
not enrolled in the Adult Migrant English Program any other Program as advised by the department from time to time

To apply for SEE, please contact our Customer Care team on 1300 232 663 or at info@mtcaustralia.com.au or ask your current employment services provider to refer you to MTC Australia’s SEE program.

How Skills for Education & Employment (SEE) works
When you choose MTC as your SEE program provider, you get access to FREE training in English language, literacy, numeracy, and computer skills. We offer part-time, full-time, and flexible study options to fit your schedule.
Here’s what you’ll learn in the SEE program:
English Language & Numeracy Skills: Our classes help you improve your English reading, writing, and speaking as well as your numeracy skills, making you more confident and ready for work and further training.
Computer Skills: We offer separate classes focused on digital literacy, teaching you how to use computers effectively in English.
Employability Skills: We assist you with job search techniques, developing strong resumes, and preparing for interviews. Not only that, we help you develop to take on new opportunities in your current employment.
With the SEE program, you’ll gain the essential skills to succeed in today’s job market and achieve your goals.
Unable to attend face-to-face classes?
If you have barriers that mean you are not able to come into one of our training centres to participate in classes, we can still help. Our distance offering is fully remote but still with the same support we offer all our participants. Eligibility for this offering applies.
Participant Support
At MTC, we aim to make your learning journey not just educational, but life-changing. Our Support Services are here to help you overcome any barriers you might face.
Whether you’re studying at one of our locations or online, our dedicated Participant Support Officers (PSOs) are ready to help. They are focused on ensuring you get the most out of your training with MTC by keeping you motivated, helping you find work, and reaching your goals. You’ll start with a 1-on-1 Introductory Session early in your training and have up to 3 hours of PSO sessions throughout your training with us.
No matter what challenges you encounter—academic, personal, or logistical—your PSO is there to support you every step of the way.

We offer a range of courses that SEE participants can participate in to further their life and employment goals. From Industry Pathways and Business courses to Community Access courses such as Driving, Citizenship and Workforce Preparation, you will have different options to suit your needs.
Specialised Nationally Recognised Qualification/Accredited Courses offered through SEE Program
We offer a range of qualification/accredited courses that SEE participants can participate in to further their life and employment goals. These are:
- 22637VIC Course in English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- 22471VIC Course in Initial General Education for Adults
- 22476VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory)
- FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
