MTC was established in 1989 in Marrickville by a team of just three. Now we’re a group of 450 dedicated people working at more than 40 locations across NSW and Queensland and every year we support 20,000 people with new skills, confidence and opportunities.

Achieve your goals while improving your LLND skills

Building and improving your language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) skills is an important step on your journey to getting the job you want or being ready for further study. Through the Specialised Courses provided within MTC Australia’s Skills for Education and Employment Program, you can go a step further. Our various courses can help you either train for entry-level jobs, achieve important life goals or study for a Certificate, all while you develop your LLND and employability skills.

The Specialised Courses that we offer fall into three different groups; Industry Pathways, Business Courses and Community Access, Participants that successfully complete an assessment in any of MTC’s Specialised Courses will be issued with a Statement of Attainment or Certificate in:

22637VIC: Course in English as an Additional Language (EAL)
22471VIC: Course in Initial General Education for Adults
22476VIC: Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory)
FSK20119: Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways

Industry Pathway Courses

Our Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Industry Pathway Courses are a faster way for people to become job-ready with the industry relevant skills they need for their chosen career. Our Industry Pathway Courses have been developed in consultation with relevant employers to ensure that you are equipped with the specific skills you need for entry-level jobs in a variety of industries including childcare, construction, retail, hospitality, warehousing and more.

Business Courses

Our Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Business Courses give you a faster route to improve your language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills while also studying for a VET Certificate. Our Business Courses have been developed through the expertise we have gained over 35 years of empowering people to create a life of their choosing. During this course, you will have the support of two expert trainers; a Vocational trainer, with specialist Business knowledge, and a LLND expert to provide you with learning support.

Community Access Courses

Our Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Community Access Courses can help you achieve your life admin goals alongside lessons to help you improve your language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills. Completing courses including Citizenship, Driving and Workforce Preparation has the potential to make a real difference to your everyday life, boost your confidence and strengthen your community standing.
