Student Enrolment Processes
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
From 1 January 2015 onwards, all students who undertake Vocational Education and Training (VET) must hold a Unique Student Identifier (USI). A USI is a unique reference made of 10 numbers that is allocated to anyone studying nationally recognised Vocational Educational Training in Australia. This can be obtained by registering online.
Enrolment process
MTC Australia’s process for enrolling a student in NSW Government-subsidised training under Smart and Skilled involves the participant:
- Collecting information about the course and entry requirements;
- Confirming eligibility conditions;
- Confirming fee structure;
- Commencing enrolment process; and
- Providing or creating a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Once these steps are complete, MTC Australia processes the enrolment application.
