Frank’s Story

Battling multiple adversities 

Frank, a veteran business development executive, was dealing with multiple adversities. The battle against melanoma for over five years had left him physically and emotionally exhausted. The redundancy from his decade-long job further spiralled him into a state of uncertainty. With the added stress of depression, it seemed like a Herculean task for Frank to rebuild his life. 

Making a plan for the future 

Enter MTC Australia. Recognising Frank’s challenges, his Health and Wellbeing consultant, Jonathan, arranged for Frank to receive help from our in-house psychologist, Cecile. The support from Allied Health Services was instrumental in mapping out Frank’s health history and setting the course for his employment journey. 

Jonathan’s rapport and Cecile’s expertise offered Frank not only a safety net but also the right tools to rebuild himself and his career. Jonathan helped Frank navigate the changing labour market landscape in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, while Cecile’s psychological support aided him in handling his stress and anxiety. 

Achieving employment success 

But the journey didn’t stop there. Frank was recommended for a Career to Transition course to bolster his confidence and adaptability in the job market. Under the guidance of his MTC team, Frank reshaped his professional skills, learned how to highlight his work experiences, and set up recruitment accounts for job alerts. 

The result of Frank’s commitment and dedication paid off as he started receiving multiple job offers, eventually landing a full-time position as a sales representative. The elation and optimism Frank felt were palpable, a true testament to his resilience and MTC’s unwavering support.
